Covering a distance of two-miles, the dedicated team from our Vernal Office took on the task of revitalizing a section of Highway 40 in the heart of Vernal. Collaborating with Vernal City and the Vernal Downtown Alliance, our team went above and beyond to ensure the area’s cleanliness extended beyond the highway itself. From the downtown core to the city limits and into Uintah County, no stone was left unturned in their pursuit of a pristine community.

While previous cleanup efforts in rural areas revealed fascinating finds like old couches, tires, coolers, and toys, this urban section presented its own unique surprises. Though not as grand in scale, the team discovered an assortment of items including gloves, socks, and action figures. It’s a testament to the resilience of these small-town heroes that they even found items that were likely lost during the winter months when massive snowbanks dominated the landscape.

One notable landmark along the cleanup route was Rex the Dinosaur, who recently underwent a striking makeover. Sporting a fresh coat of paint, Rex now stands as an imposing figure, delighting and perhaps frightening passersby.
